Kesaria Hindu Vahini Trust, A & N Islands raised the demand for opening of temples across the Islands for devotees with the Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration.
The State Vice President of Kesaria Hindu Vahini, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Pt. Ravikesh Chand in his letter to the Chief Secretary has mentioned that the Pandits of various temples of Andaman and Nicobar Islands are facing a lot of problems since the last one and a half years. He added that temples have mostly been closed during the entire period in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 cases and Pandits who are totally dependent on Dakshina from the devotees are facing problems in maintaining their families.
He requested the Chief Secretary to intervene in the issue.
