Kudo Team of A&N Islands Felicitated for Outstanding Performance in National and International Tournaments

The Kudo team from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands was honoured for their stellar performance at recent national and international competitions during a special felicitation ceremony. The athletes, who competed in the 15th Kudo National Tournament, the 5th Kudo Federation Cup, and the 16th Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament, collectively won 29 medals, showcasing their exceptional skills and dedication to the sport.

The ceremony was held at the TSG Emerald View Hotel and was organized by Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman of the TSG Charitable Foundation. It was a momentous occasion for the athletes, their coaches, and the supporters of Kudo in the region.

During the event, the athletes were congratulated and honoured for their efforts. Their hard work and perseverance paid off as they brought home an impressive array of medals, making the Andaman and Nicobar Islands proud on the national and international stages. 

Mr. TSG Bhasker, in his address, expressed his admiration for the players and their coaches. He praised their dedication, determination, and the discipline they have shown in representing the region with distinction. “This success is just the beginning,” he said. “With continued dedication and hard work, I am confident that our Kudo players will continue to excel in future tournaments.”

He also extended his full support to the Kudo players and the Mixed Martial Art Kudo Association of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, offering encouragement for their future endeavours.

The event not only celebrated the players’ victories but also highlighted the growing recognition of Kudo as a sport in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. With the continued backing of local organizations like the TSG Charitable Foundation, the future of Kudo in the region looks promising, with more opportunities for aspiring athletes to showcase their talent on larger platforms.

The ceremony concluded with a group photo of the awardees and dignitaries, marking the success of the young Kudo players and the bright future of martial arts in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
