On the occasion of Vijay Diwas, former Member of Parliament from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, paid heartfelt tribute to the courageous soldiers who fought valiantly during the 1971 war, safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of India. December 16th, a day of historic significance, marks the victory of the Indian Armed Forces and serves as a reminder of the supreme sacrifices made by the nation’s defenders.
In his tribute, Mr. Sharma expressed deep admiration for the bravery and unwavering dedication of the soldiers who, through their sacrifices, ensured the triumph of justice and peace. He acknowledged that Vijay Diwas not only commemorates the valour of the past but also honours the ongoing efforts of soldiers who continue to protect the nation’s borders with unmatched courage and resolve.
“As a proud citizen of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, I stand in solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces on this significant day. We, the people of this land, are deeply grateful for the sacrifices you make, and we vow to support you in every way possible as you continue to safeguard our freedom,” Mr. Sharma said.
He called upon the people of India to unite in honouring the nation’s heroes and to reaffirm their commitment to the defence and unity of the country.
