In a significant step towards addressing malnutrition and anemia among vulnerable populations, Mr. Vikram Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Swaraj Dweep, inaugurated the ‘Kuposhan Mukt Abhiyan’ on 29th July 2024. The launch took place at the Assistant Commissioner’s Office and included officials from the Social Welfare Department and representatives from the Hope Foundation.
‘Kuposhan Mukt Abhiyan’ aims to provide essential nutritional support to malnourished children and pregnant women. As part of the initiative, nutrient-rich diet kits will be distributed to improve overall health and combat nutritional deficiencies effectively.
“This campaign represents a crucial collaboration among various departments and organisations dedicated to the well-being of our community,” said Mr. Singh during the inauguration. “By providing essential nutrients to those most in need, we aim to create a healthier future for Swaraj Dweep.”
The campaign is a joint effort involving officials from the Social Welfare Department, the Directorate of Health Services, and the Hope Foundation, led by Ms. Fareeda. Over the next 60 days, these departments will continuously monitor and support the health of the targeted population, ensuring the success of this important initiative.
With a focus on sustainable health improvement, the ‘Kuposhan Mukt Abhiyan’ is poised to make a significant impact in the fight against malnutrition in Swaraj Dweep.
