In a significant move to bolster ease of doing business and enhance digital governance, the Department of Labour, A & N Administration, has announced the launch of an online system for the issuance and renewal of Certification of Registration for Shops and Establishments in the Nicobar District.
Starting today, employers of shops and establishments in Nicobar District can complete the entire registration and renewal process online. Online registration and renewal of Shops and Establishments is now available in all three districts in the A & N Islands, making the process uniform across the region.
Employers are urged to submit their applications for new registrations or renewals through the official website, https://labour.and.nic.in/labour/. Applications can be submitted via the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or online on the official website. The website also allows employers to track the status of their applications in real-time. Once approved, employers can pay the requisite fees online and download their certificates, eliminating the need for physical visits to government offices.
The Department of Labour has provided detailed instructions on the website for making online payments, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system. This initiative is expected to greatly enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burdens for business owners in the region.
For further information, employers can visit the official website or contact the nearest CSC.
