In a significant political development, a substantial number of women hailing from the Shoal Bay area in South Andaman District have officially joined the ranks of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The momentous event unfolded at the BJP Headquarters in Middle Point, where State President of the BJP, Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, and other prominent leaders from both the state and district levels, were present to welcome the new members.
The joining ceremony was orchestrated with precision and grandeur, thanks to the diligent efforts of Ms. Sampa Banerjee, the State President of BJP Mahila Morcha, and Ms. Fulmani Thomas, the State Vice-President of BJP Mahila Morcha. Their dedication and organisational prowess shone brightly throughout the proceedings.
A significant highlight of the event was the formation of the Mahila Morcha Shoal Bay Mandal Committee, a new local chapter within the BJP’s women’s wing. The freshly appointed Mandal President, Ms. Karmi, along with her team, received an enthusiastic and warm welcome as they stepped into their roles.
The event exemplified the strength and appeal of the Bharatiya Janata Party, as a sizable group of women from Shoal Bay chose to align themselves with the party. Their decision to join the BJP was met with open arms and admiration by party leaders, who recognised the significance of their support.
In attendance at the ceremony were not only Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, the State President of BJP but also Mr. Vivek Dadhakar, State General Secretary of Organisation, and a host of other state and district-level leaders. The presence of these esteemed figures underscored the importance of the moment and demonstrated the party’s commitment to fostering gender diversity and participation in politics.
