Life of 50-Year-Old Resident of Car Nicobar Saved by Police; Person Was Trying to Commit Suicide by Jumping Into Sea

A 50-Year-Old Resident of Perka Village, Car Nicobar, jumped into the sea from Malacca Jetty today, intending to commit suicide. A police staff posted at Malacca Jetty, Car Nicobar, immediately called PS Car Nicobar to send help for the rescue operation.

A team comprising of Insp. Rahul, SHO, PS Car Nicobar, SI JR Krishna, SI D Panchu, HC Anil, HC Ramayan and other police personnel immediately rushed to Malacca Jetty with life jackets, ropes and other life-saving equipment.

On reaching Malacca Jetty, SI JR Krishna and HC Anil jumped into the sea to save the drowning quinquagenarian. The Police Team successfully rescued the drowning person.

The person was immediately shifted to BJR Hospital for treatment. The person has sustained injuries on his head. 

The 50-Year-Old resident informed the Police that he jumped into the sea to commit suicide due to some personal issues.
