The Election Commission (UTs) for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands has announced a bye-election to fill the casual vacancy in Ward No. 17 of the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council. The bye-election will be held on February 8, 2026 (Sunday).
In an official notification issued for the information of the general public, the Election Commission has also published the list of polling stations designated for Ward No. 17 to facilitate smooth conduct of the electoral process.
According to the notification, polling for Ward No. 17 will be conducted at the following locations:
- Polling Station 17-1: Government Middle School, Dollygunj-II
- Polling Station 17-2: Community Hall, Srinagar, Minnie Bay
- Polling Station 17-3: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Pahargaon
- Polling Station 17-4: Government Middle School, Dollygunj-I
- Polling Station 17-5: Government Middle School, Dollygunj-I
- Polling Station 17-6: Government Middle School, Dollygunj-II
- Polling Station 17-7: Community Hall, Srinagar, Minnie Bay
Voters belonging to Ward No. 17 have been urged to take note of their respective polling stations and participate in the democratic process by exercising their right to vote.
