The stage is set for a thrilling conclusion to the 7th State Level U-17 Boys Football Tournament, as Little Andaman takes on Car Nicobar in the grand finale today at 3 PM at Netaji Stadium. Earlier in the day, semi-finalists Rangat and Nancowrie will battle it out for third place at 6 AM at the JNRM Ground.
The penultimate day of the tournament (May 25) delivered edge-of-the-seat action, with both semi-finals keeping fans at Netaji Stadium thoroughly engaged.
In the first semi-final, Rangat and Little Andaman played a tightly contested match that ended 0–0 after regulation and extra time. The deadlock was broken in the penalty shootout, where Little Andaman emerged victorious with a 3–1 scoreline, earning their ticket to the final.
The second semi-final between Car Nicobar and Nancowrie proved to be the most electrifying match of the tournament. With both teams netting a goal apiece during regulation and extra time, the match went to a nail-biting tiebreaker. Car Nicobar clinched the win 6–5 in the shootout, setting up a high-stakes showdown with Little Andaman.
