Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency, on 17th October 2025, launched a book titled ‘Passion to Prowess – The Journey of a Logo Designer from Andaman & Nicobar Islands’ authored by Mr. Jag Jeevan Ram, Administrative Officer, ICMR–Regional Medical Research Centre, Port Blair.
Mr. Ram, a recipient of the Lt. Governor’s Commendation Award, has been recognized for his creative excellence and unique ability to craft logos that capture institutional identity and purpose.
He is the creative mind behind several iconic logos designed for the A&N Administration, A&N Police, A&N Command, and various government departments. Among his notable works is the design of the ₹75 Commemorative Coin issued to mark the 75th Anniversary of the hoisting of the Tricolour for the first time on Indian soil by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in December 1943.
The book chronicles his artistic journey from the Islands to national recognition, inspiring young designers to pursue their creative passions with dedication and vision.
