At the top of the logo lies the national emblem, serving as a reminder of the unity and integrity of India. Below it is the shape of a coconut fruit, adorned with its crown, symbolizing the tropical landscape of the Islands. Additionally, the logo prominently features the historic Cellular Jail, a poignant symbol of the region’s freedom struggle.
Highlighting the essential role of the police in maritime security, a police boat and the sea finds its place in the logo, reflecting their dedication to safeguarding the coastal waters.
The motto of the Andaman and Nicobar Police is inscribed in Hindi, emphasizing the principles of “Nirbhay” (fearless), “Nipun” (expert/proficient/benevolent), and “Nishpaksh” (neutral). These values serve as guiding principles for the police force as they uphold law and order and serve the community.
