LTM Library for Children with Special Needs Inaugurated in GSSS Diglipur

A Learning Teaching Material (LTM) Library for children with special needs (CwSN) was inaugurated on 24th September 2025, at the Block Level Resource Room of Government Senior Secondary School, Diglipur, under the Inclusive Education initiative of the Samagra Shiksha programme. The library aims to provide accessible teaching-learning materials and assistive devices to support the education and development of CwSN.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. M. Rajendra, Block Development Officer, Diglipur, who served as the chief guest. Ms. Indira Devi, Child Development Officer, Diglipur, and Mr. P. R. Singaram, Pradhan of Subhashgram Panchayat, were present as guests of honour. Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of inclusive educational facilities in promoting the holistic development of children.

The newly established library will allow students to borrow assistive devices for use in classrooms as well as at home, encouraging independent learning and continuous skill development. Ms. Sulochana, Block Project Officer, highlighted that the library is not limited to parents alone; teachers from all schools can also access the materials to enhance learning opportunities for children with special needs.
