An FIR has been lodged against Mr. M A Sajid, the State President of the National Students Union of India (NSUI), Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The complaint, filed by the Deputy Director Education (Perl) of the Directorate of Education, outlines multiple allegations against Mr. Sajid. These allegations stem from his alleged disruptive behaviour at the State Library in Port Blair on the 2nd of January 2024, during the document verification process for GTT Recruitment Candidates.

The complaint detailed the scenario surrounding the GTT (Graduate Trained Teacher) recruitment process initiated by the Department of Education. The State Library, functioning as one of the verification centres, experienced an overwhelming influx of applicants due to its location in the UT capital. To manage the escalating situation, the Deputy Education Officer of South Andaman sought police assistance, resulting in the deployment of law enforcement personnel at the center.

However, on the final day of application submission, Mr. M A Sajid purportedly arrived at the State Library and allegedly engaged in disruptive behaviour. According to the complaint, he is accused of intimidating candidates and government officials, making objectionable remarks against the UT Administrator and Andaman Nicobar Administration Officials, and even threatening the officials and candidates. The complaint lists video news links from different digital news publishers and vlogger to showcase Mr. Sajid’s actions and statements during the incident.

The FIR against Mr. Sajid was filed under Sections 186, 189, 353, 500, 505(2) & 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The complainant had sought to register FIR on M A Sajid for creating disturbance, threatening government servants, spreading false information about the recruitment process, causing chaos among applicants, obstructing official duties, creating enmity among candidates, and issuing threats to candidates from different states/UTs intending to join duty if selected.
