Mrs. M.P Raji and Mr. Ashish Ghosh from Ward No. 11, Port Blair today joined Bharatiya Janata Party in a simple ceremony held at Hotel Diviyum Manor.
Mrs. M.P Raji was earlier associated with Congress and had also contested the last election as an independent candidate. She had secured good number of votes.
Both leaders joined BJP in the presence of Mr. K Ram Das, State General Secretary, BJP, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Jijith Rekh, Spokesperson, BJP, A & N Islands and Mrs. Vinita Malhotra, BJP Candidate for Ward Councillor of Ward No. 11, PBMC.
Both the leaders during their joining said that they will work to solve the problems of the general public and said that they would throw their strength behind the BJP candidate from their ward, Mrs. Vinita Malhotra and make sure that she wins.
