Mr. M Vinod, President, Andaman Association of Tour Operators has sought an extension of permission for all water sports activities in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Permissions for all water sports activities are expiring on 30th August 2022.
Mr. M Vinod is his letter addressed to the Secretary, Department of IP&T has informed that due to administrative reasons the renewal of permissions was on hold until now. The online renewal has just been restarted and a large number of renewal applications have been submitted online.
He also added that the process of renewal is going to take a long time and therefore requested an extension of permission for all water sports activities for one month.
The extension of permission for water sports activities will enable the operators to continue their business, otherwise, the operators will have to shut shop and the visiting tourists will also suffer.
