A marathon to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS was successfully conducted on 17th August 2025, covering the route from the historic National Memorial Cellular Jail to Flag Point. The event was jointly organized by the Red Ribbon Club of the ANM Training School and the School of Nursing, in collaboration with the Andaman Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS).
The marathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from Nursing and ANM students, along with faculty members from both institutions, who carried the vital message of “Awareness, Prevention, & Care” in the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Subroto Saha, Project Director of ANACS, flagged off the marathon from Cellular Jail. The event concluded with participants taking a pledge to actively promote HIV awareness and contribute towards building an HIV-free society in the Islands.
