As part of the Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign, the Mayabunder Forest Division conducted extensive clean-up drives at various beaches under its jurisdiction in collaboration with local residents.

In a simultaneous effort to promote environmental awareness and afforestation through community participation, the Division also organized a mass plantation drive.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from officials across multiple departments, along with the Divisional Forest Officer, Assistant Conservator of Forests, Block Development Officer, and local PRI members of Mayabunder. Nearly 1,000 fruit-bearing seedlings—including Indian Gooseberry, Tamarind, Noni, Guava, Black Plum, Lemon, Custard Apple, Mango, Jackfruit, and other local fruit species—were planted during the drive.

The initiative reflects the Division’s ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and community engagement.
