MCC Hosts Career Guidance Programme for Students at Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School in Sri Vijaya Puram

A career guidance programme was organized by the Model Career Centre (MCC) under the Department of Employment & Training in collaboration with Government Girls Senior Secondary School on 26th August 2025. The initiative aimed at equipping students with insights into career opportunities, higher education avenues, and employment prospects.

Addressing the students, Mr. Srinivas Rao, Director (Employment & Training), encouraged them to pursue their aspirations with dedication and stressed the importance of structured career planning. He urged the students to make the best use of the diverse educational and vocational opportunities available to them.

Distinguished resource persons, including Capt. Rohit Lall (Merchant Navy), Mr. Kumar Senthil (Base Coordinator, Pawan Hans India Ltd.), Dr. Gayathri P.S. (Community Medicine, ANIIMS), Ms. Aurgya Mandal (Assistant Professor, Andaman Law College), Dr. J. Siddique (Assistant Professor, ANCOL), Ms. Anisha Ahmed (ITI Trainee), and Mr. T. Deepak (Sai Institute), guided the participants on career prospects in their respective fields.

The event concluded with an interactive session, during which students actively raised queries and received clarifications from the experts. More than 250 students from Classes XI and XII participated in the programme.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. K. Binu, Vocational Guidance Officer, MCC.
