Medical Assessment Camp Held at PM SHRI GSSS Campbell Bay for Children with Special Needs

A Medical Assessment Camp was recently organized at PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Campbell Bay under the Inclusive Education programme of Samagra Shiksha. The initiative was led by the Block Project Officer with the aim of promoting early identification and support for children with disabilities.

A total of 53 students and their parents attended the camp, including 11 registered Children with Special Needs (CwSN) and 12 suspected cases. The event also saw the participation of Anganwadi workers, caregivers, and other stakeholders.

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of PHC Campbell Bay, along with an expert from ALIMCO who joined through virtual mode, conducted the assessments of both registered and suspected CwSN. They emphasized the importance of timely support through appropriate referrals and interventions to ensure better outcomes for the children. (Story Based on PR)
