Mini Reproductive & Child Health Camp Held at Manjery Benefiting Over 70 Patients

A Mini Reproductive & Child Health (RCH) Camp was organized at Manjery under the jurisdiction of PHC Manglutan on February 15, 2025. The camp was conducted under the RCH-II Programme by the Union Territory Health Mission, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), A&N Administration, and ANIIMS.

A team of specialist doctors provided their services during the camp, including Dr. Tripti Singh Saha (Dental Surgeon), Dr. Humam Ahmed (Assistant Professor, Orthopaedics), Dr. Arisha Salam (Dermatologist), Dr. Akanksha Gupta (Assistant Professor, Obstetrics & Gynaecology), Dr. Reema Dakua (Senior Resident, Paediatrics), Dr. Apurva (Junior Resident, Ophthalmology), Dr. Sumit Kumar (Junior Resident, Medicine), and Dr. Annie Das.

As part of the health initiative, blood sugar tests were conducted for all participants, and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials on various health topics were distributed to the attendees. The camp witnessed an encouraging response, benefiting more than 70 patients.

Such health camps play a crucial role in providing essential medical services to remote communities, ensuring access to specialized healthcare and awareness about reproductive and child health.
