In a significant initiative aimed at promoting reading habits and spreading knowledge within the community, a Mobile Library was inaugurated recently at PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Swaraj Dweep, near the APWD Guest House.
The Mobile Library was inaugurated by the chief guest, Ajit Kumar Roy, Pradhan of Govind Nagar, in the presence of Ireena, Principal and Drawing & Disbursing Officer (DDO) of GSSS Swaraj Dweep, along with other distinguished guests.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of books in shaping young minds. They highlighted that easy access to books and learning resources plays a crucial role in the intellectual development of students and the overall growth of society.
The Mobile Library is expected to benefit students as well as residents of Swaraj Dweep by providing convenient access to a variety of books and educational materials. The initiative aims to encourage curiosity, creativity and a strong reading culture among children and youth.
The programme concluded with words of encouragement from the dignitaries, who expressed hope that the Mobile Library would serve as a valuable knowledge resource for the community. They also noted that books act as treasures that open the doors to imagination and learning.
The launch of the Mobile Library reflects the community’s commitment to promoting education, literacy and lifelong learning.
