MoS Home Affairs Visits Andamans, Will Address BJP Workers Tomorrow

Port Blair, 10 Dec 2020

Hon’ble Minister of State for Home, Shri Nityanand Rai arrived here today on a 4-day visit to the Islands. Soon after arrival, the Minister visited the National Memorial Cellular Jail and paid tributes to the freedom fighters by laying wreath at the Martyrs’ Column. The Minister was briefed about the history of Cellular Jail and the renovation work in progress at the National Memorial. He also visited the Solitary Cell of Veer Savarkar and paid homage to the great patriot of India’s Freedom Struggle. The Minister also visited Flag Point near South Point.

During his stay in the Islands, the Minister will review the Flagship/Welfare/Development Schemes of Govt. of India and also inspect various ongoing as well as upcoming project sites.

Jyothirmay Bawali, State General Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Shri. N.K Udhaya Kumar, State President, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha welcomed Shri. Nityanand Rai, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs at Veer Savarkar International Airport Port Blair.


Shri. Nityanand Rai, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs will also address the karyakartas of Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 11th of December 2020 at 7:30 Pm at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Bhavan (BJP Bhavan), Middle Point, Port Blair.
