The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting for North and Middle Andaman District was held on Friday at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, under the chairmanship of the Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, who is also the Chairperson of the Committee.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman welcomed the Chairperson, committee members and senior officers from various line departments.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted on the progress of various Central and Centrally Sponsored Schemes being implemented across the district. The Committee examined the implementation status, physical and financial progress of ongoing projects, inter-departmental coordination, and measures required to ensure effective and timely delivery of benefits to the public.
Chairing the meeting, Mr. Ray stressed the need for close monitoring, transparency in execution, and expeditious completion of developmental works. He issued necessary directions to the concerned departments to address bottlenecks and improve implementation efficiency.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the Committee that all directions and recommendations would be complied with in a time-bound manner.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chair.
