The Hon’ble Member of Parliament for the A & N Islands, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, proposes to constitute a ‘Think Tank’ involving individuals with expertise in various fields. The purpose of this initiative is to seek opinions, ideas, and suggestions, as well as to hold regular discussions and meetings with knowledgeable persons across different sectors and departments. The aim is to compile concrete recommendations and present them to the concerned ministries for the benefit of the Island’s people.
The MP’s main focus areas include the education sector (with a particular emphasis on job- and skill-oriented education), the health sector, the power sector, the revenue department, and shipping. However, he also seeks to engage experts from other sectors such as aviation, agriculture, veterinary services, sports, and tourism.
