Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration to direct the officials of NHIDCL to make the NH4 stretch in North Andaman motorable.
The residents of North Andaman and the commuters are currently facing a lot of difficulties due to the bad state of NH4.
Mr. Sharma also requested the Chief Secretary to provide ships for Diglipur twice a week until NH4 is repaired and normal movement of vehicles is restored.
In his letter to the Chief Secretary, Mr. Sharma mentioned that some stretches of Andaman Trunk Road (ATR) have become worse due to earthwork followed by the rains.
He further added that due to heavy rains some parts of ATR near Kalara Junction have become extremely dangerous for vehicles.
