Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the devastating fire incident that occurred at Rangat late on October 25, 2025. The blaze gutted around 20 commercial shops, causing extensive damage to property and resulting in severe losses for local traders.
In a message issued following the incident, Mr. Ray said the unforeseen tragedy has brought immense distress to the affected families and the local community. Conveying his heartfelt sympathies to all those who have suffered losses, he urged the administration to conduct an immediate assessment of damages and extend necessary relief and rehabilitation support to the victims at the earliest.
The MP further prayed for strength and courage for the affected families to overcome this difficult situation and expressed hope that normalcy would be restored soon in the area.
