MP Invites List of Urgent Works from PRI Members to Push for Inclusion in Administration’s Priority List During Consultative Committee Meeting

Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has invited list of priority works of urgent nature from elected representatives to finalise the priority works under the capital expenditure plan for the financial year 2024-2025. The proposals will be discussed at a Consultative Committee meeting scheduled for January 27, 2025, at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration. The meeting is being conducted on request of the MP.

The MP has urged all Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members, including Pradhans, Samiti, Zilla Parishad members, and the Municipal Council, to submit lists of urgent projects from their respective areas. The focus areas include roads, culverts, bridges, water supply, new pipeline installations, and repairs.

Submissions can be sent via email to andamanmp@gmail.com or through WhatsApp by January 23, 2025. The MP emphasised the importance of timely submissions to ensure critical projects are considered for inclusion in the administration’s priority list.

Representatives are encouraged to treat this matter as urgent to facilitate effective decision-making and the efficient allocation of resources for the upcoming fiscal year.
