In a significant development aimed at improving connectivity and enhancing safety for local residents and students, Member of Parliament Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma laid the foundation for a Cement Concrete (CC) Road. The road will stretch from the rural area to connect with the main road at Ward No.5, Brindaban Panchayat, via Al Ameen Public School, covering a distance of 200 meters with a width of 5 meters. This transformative project is being funded under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS), with a sanctioned budget of 26 lakhs.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the participation of enthusiastic local residents, school students, and various dignitaries, including Chief Engineer Mr. Tej Bahadur, Pramukh of South Andaman, Pradhan of Brindaban, Ms. Mariam Bibi, and members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI).
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma emphasised the importance of this road construction project, which has long been a cherished demand of the local community, especially the students. He highlighted that the road’s construction would greatly improve transportation in the area, making daily commutes more convenient for residents. Additionally, it will provide a safer and more accessible route for students traveling to and from Al Ameen Public School.
