Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has urged the Chief Secretary to intervene in the DBRAIT Issue and fulfil all genuine demands of the students.
In his letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the MP has mentioned that a large number of students of DBRAIT are staging protest in front of the DBRAIT Gate to press for some long pending demands related to proper affiliation of the college and other pending issues.
MP mentioned that many students are under tremendous stress as they fear their one crucial year will be lost if no action is taken from the side of the Administration now.
Earlier, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Ex-Member of Parliament, A & N Islands, Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP, A & N Islands with other BJP leaders and Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member, BJP had met the students at the protest site.
The protesting students had also requested the political leaders to come forward and support them.
