The ‘Girls on Wheels’ program is a pioneering effort by the Member of Parliament to provide free two-wheeler driving lessons to young girls in the Mithakhari and Namunaghar regions. With a focus on imparting driving skills in a safe environment under proper guidance, the initiative aims to enable every girl willing to learn driving two-wheelers to acquire this crucial skill without incurring any cost.

Recognising the significance of a two-wheeler driving license, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma emphasises that it opens doors to various opportunities for employment. Additionally, possessing a driving license allows girls to navigate their daily lives independently, eliminating the need to rely on others for transportation.

The Member of Parliament expressed his desire for every girl in Andaman and Nicobar Islands to have access to a driving license, promoting independence and self-reliance among the female population. The ‘Girls on Wheels’ initiative is a step towards breaking barriers and fostering a sense of empowerment among the young women in the region.
