In a bid to address the long-standing concerns of residents in the North Andaman region, Member of Parliament Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has raised a crucial demand for the finalisation of the Circle Rate for VS Palli and Sita Nagar Villages. This request was formally submitted to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, highlighting the pressing need for resolution.
Mr. Sharma underscored the urgency of the matter, emphasising that a substantial portion of the local populace has been eagerly awaiting the finalisation of Circle Rates for these villages. Despite previous directives issued by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration regarding Circle Rates across the Union Territory, the issue pertaining to VS Palli and Sita Nagar Villages remains unresolved.
The absence of a defined Circle Rate poses significant challenges for residents, particularly in conducting land transactions. Without a clear rate structure in place, individuals are hindered in their ability to engage in vital property dealings, thereby impacting the overall socio-economic landscape of the region.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Mr. Sharma urged the Hon’ble Lt. Governor to intervene and direct the concerned department to expedite the process of finalising the Circle Rate for VS Palli and Sita Nagar Villages. This proactive step is crucial in alleviating the hardships faced by the local community and fostering equitable development across the North Andaman region.
