Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has urged the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to expedite the release of scholarship funds destined for students studying in mainland India.
Highlighting the critical need for timely financial support, Mr. Sharma penned a letter to the Chief Secretary emphasising the significance of scholarship aid provided by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to students pursuing education outside the islands. He underlined the pivotal role these funds play in assisting students with essential expenses such as food and other associated costs, proving to be a lifeline for many individuals studying in mainland India.
Expressing concern over the halting of scholarship disbursements for the past year, the MP elucidated the substantial challenges faced by students due to this delay. He stressed that numerous students heavily depend on this financial assistance to sustain their educational pursuits.
The Member of Parliament earnestly called upon the Chief Secretary to intervene and facilitate the prompt release of scholarship funds for all students enrolled in institutions across mainland India. His plea seeks to alleviate the mounting hardships faced by these students, ensuring they receive crucial financial aid essential for their educational endeavours.
