Member of Parliament, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, has raised a crucial concern regarding the non-disbursement of two months’ salaries for teachers of the education department under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
Addressing the Chief Secretary through a formal letter, Sharma highlighted the acute financial distress faced by these teachers due to the prolonged delay in receiving their salaries. He emphasised that the affected teachers heavily depend on their monthly remuneration to sustain their families. The prolonged non-payment has compelled them to seek external financial aid to manage their essential expenses.
Expressing his concern, Sharma appealed to the Chief Secretary, urging swift action in releasing the pending salaries for the teachers employed under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. He underscored the criticality of this issue, stating that timely disbursement would alleviate the financial burden on these teachers and facilitate the smooth functioning of their households.
The delay in salary disbursement has significantly impacted the livelihoods of these dedicated teachers, compelling the Member of Parliament to intervene and advocate for their rights.
