Member of Parliament representing the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, has called upon the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to expedite the posting of an extra Staff Nurse at the Blood Bank of G.B. Pant Hospital to address concerns of understaffing and ensure seamless service provision.
In a formal letter directed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament highlighted grievances received from the public regarding operational challenges faced by the Blood Bank unit at G.B. Pant Hospital due to insufficient staffing. Reports suggest that the Blood Bank currently operates with only one staff nurse, leading to operational difficulties for individuals seeking to donate blood and access related services.
According to testimonies from patients, the lack of adequate staffing has exacerbated during blood donation campaigns, where staff members are required to venture into various locations for blood collection. This circumstance not only inconveniences regular patients but also disrupts the efficient functioning of the Blood Bank, a vital institution in the healthcare landscape of the Islands.
Recognizing the critical role played by the Blood Bank in catering to the healthcare needs of the residents of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma urged the Chief Secretary to promptly assign additional nursing staff to the Blood Bank unit at G.B. Pant Hospital. Such a measure, he emphasised, is essential to ensure uninterrupted and efficient delivery of services to the public.
MP sir se mera ek request hai ki diglipur hopital me bhi bhut sara staff nahi hai, jiska karan logo ko yaha se port blair padta hai aur yaha se port blair jane keliye logo ko bhut takleef hota hai ye chij kisi ko samaj kyu nahi aata hai mujhe nahi pata, diglipur me sahi se ilaj nahi hone ka karan ek doctor ke nahi hone se diglipur se port blair jane keliye yaha par patient logo ko bhut sara problems hota hai, aur pregent ladies keliye kash karke yaha par koi facilities nahi hai, unka ultrasound facilities nahi hai, unka koi operation hone ka facilities nahi hai, 1 month phele pregent ladies ko sida port blair refer kar deta, jab ki ek doctor keliye sara patients pura problems uthakar yaha se port blair jah sakta hai lekin usi patients keliye ek doctor diglipur nahi aa sakte hai kya sir….. please sir aap kuch kariye please
