The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, in association with ANIIDCO, organized ‘Mr. FIT Body Building Competition Season-2’ on November 4 at the TGCE Auditorium. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local bodybuilding enthusiasts showcasing their strength, fitness, and dedication.
In the keenly contested competition, Mr. T. Venkata Ramana bagged the first position, followed by Mr. Pramod Chhillar in second place, and Mr. Abdul Salam in third place. The winners received cash prizes of ₹5,000, ₹3,000, and ₹2,000 respectively, sponsored by ANIIDCO, along with trophies, medals, and certificates.
Mr. Rajesh Chopra, IAS, Secretary (Cooperation)-cum-RCS, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and presented prizes to the winners. In his address, he emphasized that such competitions encourage youth to focus on fitness and healthy living while fostering greater interest in sports. Mr. Gopal Chandra Das, Senior Manager (Tourism), ANIIDCO, attended the event as Guest of Honour and presented medals to the winners.
Mr. Vikram Singh, Director (Sports), expressed his commitment to organizing more such events in the future to promote health, fitness, and sports culture among the youth of the Islands. (Story Based on PR)
