Nagpuri Dhamaka: Celebration of Culture and Inclusivity in A & N Islands

The ITF Ground in Port Blair witnessed a vibrant celebration of culture and tradition as the Akhil Bharatiya Birsa Munda Chota Nagpuri Trust, A & N Islands, organised a one-day Nagpuri Dhamaka programme on February 10, 2024.

Dignitaries and tribal youths from various parts of the Islands congregated to participate in this cultural extravaganza, aimed at showcasing the rich heritage of the Chota Nagpuri community. Among the esteemed guests were Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman of the TSG Charitable Foundation, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The event featured captivating performances by tribal youths and cultural groups, displaying the diverse traditions and artistic talents prevalent among the indigenous communities. Adding to the cultural tapestry were tribal singers from Jharkhand, who enthralled the audience with soulful renditions of traditional songs and dynamic dance performances.

In his address, Mr. TSG Bhasker emphasized the significance of such programs in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the nation. He lauded the efforts of the organisers in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening community relations. Furthermore, he announced plans for a Mega Hockey Tournament under the aegis of the TSG Charitable Foundation, aimed at promoting inclusivity and providing a platform for Adivasi youths to showcase their sporting prowess.

The highlight of the event was when Mr. TSG Bhasker joined a group of enthusiastic youths in a spontaneous dance, immersing himself in the rhythm of tribal music and showcasing solidarity with the community.

Expressing gratitude, Mr. Sebastian Tirkey, Secretary of the Ranchi Association, commended Mr. TSG Bhasker for his unwavering support and advocacy for the Chota Nagpuri Adivasi community in the A&N Islands.

The gathering also witnessed the presence of several distinguished personalities.
