Mr. Dhanyakumar Jinappa Gunde, Hon’ble Member of the National Commission for Minorities, Government of India, will arrive in Andaman and Nicobar Islands today for a three-day official visit.
As part of his itinerary, Mr. Gunde will be meeting with representatives of minority communities from Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Later today, he will convene a series of meetings with key officials at the Secretariat’s Conference Hall, including the Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman), SDM, SP, and the District Minority Officer of Port Blair District.
Tomorrow, Mr. Gunde is scheduled to visit the National Memorial Cellular Jail, a site of profound historical importance. He will also witness the Light & Sound Show at the Cellular Jail Complex, which vividly recounts the struggles of India’s freedom fighters.
Mr. Gunde’s visit to the islands will conclude on September 5, when he is set to depart for the mainland.
