The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, will organise National Lok Adalat on December 14, 2024. The event will take place at multiple locations, including the District Court Complex in Sri Vijaya Puram, the Sub-Divisional Court Complex in Mayabunder, and the Circuit Court in Diglipur.
This initiative will focus on the amicable settlement of both pre-litigation and post-litigation cases through mutual consent. The cases eligible for settlement include matters related to Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, money recovery, labour disputes, electricity and water bill issues (excluding non-compoundable cases), maintenance cases, civil disputes, and cases under the Consumer Protection Act.
Members of the public with pending disputes at either the pre-litigation or post-litigation stage are encouraged to submit their cases in writing to the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Sri Vijaya Puram, by December 9, 2024. This will ensure their cases are considered for resolution during the upcoming National Lok Adalat.
