Nayi Chetna Campaign Concludes in Diglipur, Promoting Gender Equality and Awareness Against Gender Based Violence

The Nayi Chetna Campaign, a national initiative against gender-based violence, concluded on November 23, 2024, after a month-long series of awareness programs in the C.D Block of Diglipur. Launched on November 25, the campaign featured a range of engaging activities, including rangoli competitions, quizzes, rallies, and awareness programs, all aimed at promoting gender equality and raising awareness against violence.

The closing event saw enthusiastic participation, particularly from women, who came together to show their support for the cause. Ms. Sanjana Kumari, Cluster Coordinator of NLRM, officially welcomed the gathering, setting the tone for the event. This was followed by speeches from key figures including Mr. M. Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer (BDO) of Diglipur, Ms. Indira Devi, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of ICDS, and Dr. Shipra from the Community Health Center (CHC) Diglipur.

The event also recognised the efforts of participants with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners and other participants were celebrated for their contributions. The attendees made a collective pledge to continue promoting gender equality and standing against gender-based violence in their communities.

Mr. Bibhash Mazumdar, Extension Officer, and Debasis Poddar, Cluster Coordinator at NLRM, expressed their gratitude towards the community for their active involvement, which played a vital role in the success of the campaign. The event concluded on a hopeful note, as the community reaffirmed its commitment to creating a safer, more inclusive society for all.
