NCC Cadets Interact with Lt Governor; Cultural Programme Marks Grand Conclusion of SNIC 2026

The Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) 2026 concluded on a high note with an interaction between NCC cadets and the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Admiral D.K. Joshi (Retd.), followed by a colourful cultural programme showcasing India’s unity in diversity.

During the ongoing camp, NCC cadets had the opportunity to interact with the Lieutenant Governor at Lok Niwas in the presence of Group Commander Col T. Hariteja and Commanding Officer, NCC Army Unit, Col K.Y. Singh. The cadets shared their experiences and learnings gained during the camp. Appreciating their enthusiasm and discipline, the Lieutenant Governor encouraged the cadets to continue working with dedication and contribute positively to nation-building.

The closing ceremony of SNIC 2026 was marked by a vibrant cultural programme presented by the cadets, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and diversity of the country. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Deputy Director General, NCC, Commodore S. Ragav, along with Col T. Hariteja, Col K.Y. Singh, and Commanding Officer, NCC Naval Unit, Lt. Cdr. Reyaz Farooq.

Addressing the gathering, Commodore S. Ragav lauded the high level of discipline, enthusiasm and cultural harmony displayed by the cadets throughout the camp. He highlighted the important role of NCC in shaping careers, building leadership qualities and fostering a spirit of national integration.

The event concluded with a dinner on January 21, 2026, marking a fitting end to the successful camp. NCC cadets, Permanent Staff and Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) departed for their respective destinations on January 22, 2026.
