As part of the ongoing Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) 2026, NCC cadets from across the country visited the Indian Navy warship INS Kora to gain first-hand exposure to naval operations and maritime defence capabilities.

During the visit, the cadets interacted with the Navy Component Commander in the presence of Commanding Officer, NCC Army Unit, Col K.Y. Singh, and Commanding Officer (Naval Unit), Lt Cdr Reyaz Farooq. The officers briefed the cadets on the critical role played by frontline naval platforms like INS Kora in ensuring maritime security, coastal surveillance, and the overall defence of the nation.

The cadets keenly observed various onboard systems and engaged in interactive sessions with naval personnel, which significantly enhanced their understanding of day-to-day naval operations and life aboard a warship.

Following the naval visit, the cadets proceeded to the MARCOS base at Jodakilan. During the interaction with the Marine Commandos, the cadets gained valuable insights into the rigorous training, discipline, and operational responsibilities of India’s elite special forces.

The visit also underscored the complementary roles of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, highlighting the importance of joint operations in safeguarding national security. The exposure proved highly motivating for the cadets, inspiring many to consider future careers in the armed forces.
