As part of the ongoing Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) 2026, National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets undertook an educational and adventurous visit to the renowned Limestone Caves at Baratang, offering them a firsthand experience of the natural and geological heritage of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The cadets reached the Limestone Caves by navigating through dense mangrove creeks and forest routes, during which they observed the region’s rich biodiversity and unique ecosystem. The visit provided valuable insights into the geological formations of the caves, regarded as one of the prominent natural attractions of the islands.

The itinerary also included a visit to Wandoor Beach, where the cadets had an opportunity to appreciate the coastal environment and scenic beauty of the area.

The educational tour was conducted under the supervision of the Commanding Officer, NCC Army Unit, Col. K. Y. Singh, who ensured discipline, safety and meaningful learning throughout the expedition. The visit formed an important component of SNIC 2026, aimed at promoting national integration, environmental awareness and experiential learning among NCC cadets.
