NCC Cadets Visit Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island and North Bay as Part of SNIC

As part of the ongoing Special National Integration Camp (SNIC), National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets undertook an educational and heritage visit to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island and North Bay Island to promote patriotism, national integration and awareness of India’s historical and strategic heritage.

The visit was conducted in the presence of Col K. Y. Singh, Commanding Officer, NCC Army Unit. During the programme, the cadets were briefed on the historical significance of Subhash Chandra Bose Island, particularly its pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle. The briefing highlighted the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and served as a source of inspiration for the young cadets.

Later, the cadets visited North Bay Island, where they participated enthusiastically in various water sports activities. The visit provided a blend of learning and recreation, strengthening teamwork, discipline and camaraderie among the cadets, in keeping with the objectives of the Special National Integration Camp.
