Nicobar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI), Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry (YCCI), Nicobar Youth Association (NYA), Fishermen Welfare Association and some other associations of Fishermen have distanced themselves from the Trade Bandh called by ACCI on 12th April 2023.
In the respective Press Releases Issued by several of these organisations, they have mentioned that they have full faith in the Andaman and Nicobar Administartion and the Central Government.
Many of them have mentioned that whatever issue prevails can be solved by proper representation of facts by the organisations representing the Islanders.
In Nicobar District all markets and economic activities will go on as usual except for in Great Nicobar Island where the Trade Bandh is being observed.
Earlier, the traders of Katchal had also decided to keep their shops shut, but they have reviewed their decision and have now decided not to support the Trade Bandh.
