NCSC Holds Review on Implementation of SC Reservation Policy in Airports Authority of India at Meeting in Sri Vijaya Puram

A review meeting to monitor the implementation of the Reservation Policy for Scheduled Castes (SCs) in the Airports Authority of India (AAI) was held at Sri Vijaya Puram on October 6, 2025, under the aegis of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC).

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Kishor Makwana, Hon’ble Chairman of the NCSC, and focused on assessing the status of reservation for Scheduled Castes in recruitment, promotions, and welfare initiatives within AAI.

Senior AAI officials participated in the session, including Mr. Vipin Kumar, Chairman, AAI; Dr. H. Srinivas, Member (HR), AAI; Mrs. Nivedita Dubey, RED-ER; and Mr. Devender Yadav, Airport Director, VSI Airport, along with other senior officials.

During the deliberations, AAI representatives presented data and updates on the implementation of the reservation policy across various departments. Mr. Makwana emphasized the need for strict adherence to constitutional provisions, urging the organization to maintain transparency and ensure timely compliance in all human resource processes.

The meeting also featured discussions on existing challenges, best practices, and future action plans to further enhance the inclusion and representation of Scheduled Caste communities within AAI.

The session concluded with a shared commitment between NCSC and AAI to uphold social justice and strengthen institutional frameworks for the empowerment of Scheduled Castes in the aviation sector.
