New ATM for Nancowry Dispatched after Intervention of Bharatiya Janata Party

Campbell Bay, 13 Jan 2021

Nicobar Times had earlier reported on several occasion the issues that the residents of Nancowry are facing because of defunct ATM’s of both State Bank of India and Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Bank.

The residents of Nancowry had to face a lot of problems in the past because of the defunct ATM’s. At many occasions long lines were witnessed in-front of bank branches. During this time of COVID-19 it is very important that facilities like ATM’s are functional to reduce the crowd in bank branches.

Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands recently wrote a letter to the Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and informed him about the defunct ATM of Nancowry.

The Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Andaman and Nicobar Islands took immediate action and shipped a functional ATM from Port Blair to Nancowry. Now the residents of Nancowry will no longer suffer because of defunct ATM.

Shri. Ajoy Bairagi has thanked the Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Andaman and Nicobar Islands for his immediate action in this regard.
