Newly Promoted Vice Principals Empowered Through Capacity Building Programme on School Leadership Development

The State Institute of Education, in collaboration with the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), successfully conducted a six-day Capacity Building Programme focused on School Leadership Development for 46 newly promoted Vice Principals. The workshop took place from October 14 to 19, 2024, at the Conference Hall of Shiksha Sadan in Sri Vijaya Puram.

Mr. L. Kumar, IAS, Secretary (Education), attended the event and inspired participants to leverage the knowledge gained during the workshop to transform school education. His presence underscored the importance of effective leadership in educational institutions.

In his address, Mr. Aditya Kumar Jha, Director (Education), highlighted the necessity of enhancing skills and competencies among the Vice Principals. During the programme, he unveiled the module titled ‘ANKURAN,’ which is aimed at improving Foundational Literacy and Numeracy.

Ms. Sangeeta Chand, Principal of the State Institute of Education, provided insights into the ‘ANKURAN’ book to the participants. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Kashypi Awasti, Assistant Professor at NIEPA, alongside Dr. Preeti Vivek Mishra, Associate Professor at Delhi University, who facilitated the training sessions.

The programme concluded with the distribution of Participation Certificates to all attendees, marking the successful completion of an initiative designed to strengthen school leadership and enhance educational outcomes.
