In a commendable display of dedication and efficiency, the Nicobar District Police have successfully retrieved and returned seven lost mobile handsets to their rightful owners. This achievement, a testament to the unwavering commitment of law enforcement, highlights the pivotal role played by both the PS Car Nicobar and PS Campbell Bay teams.
Among the recovered devices, five were traced by the relentless efforts of the PS Car Nicobar team, while the remaining two were recovered by the diligent personnel of PS Campbell Bay. This collaborative endeavour underscores the collective commitment of the Andaman & Nicobar Police to uphold community interests and ensure public safety.
The successful recovery of these mobile handsets was facilitated by the effective utilisation of the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. This technological tool streamlined the process, expediting the identification and return of the lost devices to their grateful owners. The heartfelt expressions of gratitude from the individuals upon receiving their mobile handsets reaffirm the invaluable impact of these efforts on the community.
In light of this achievement, the Andaman & Nicobar Police urge the general public to promptly report any incidents of lost or stolen mobile handsets to the nearest Police Station or utilise the services of the CEIR portal. By fostering a culture of vigilance and cooperation, together, we can ensure the safety and security of all members of our community.
