The Art & Culture Department of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, in association with the National Book Trust (NBT), New Delhi, is organising the second edition of the nine-day Andaman Nicobar Book Fair at the ITF Ground, Sri Vijaya Puram, from February 14 to 22, 2026.

The Book Fair features over 40 stalls and participation from more than 35 publishers, offering readers of all age groups a wide range of books across genres. The event aims to promote reading habits and provide a vibrant literary platform for the Islands.

As part of the fair, the National Book Trust is conducting a series of activities for students during the morning hours. In the evenings, literary sessions and cultural programmes are being organised to engage the wider public.

A special literary evening dedicated to poetry, titled ‘Kavya Sandhya’, will be held at 6.30 pm on February 20, 2026. Local poets have been invited to present their creative works in any language on the open stage.

An open-to-all storytelling competition will be organised at 6.30 pm on February 21, 2026. The competition will be conducted in two age categories — 8 to 13 years and 14 to 18 years — and participation has been invited from school and college students.

The fair will also include an open-to-all folk dance programme at the ITF Ground on February 22.

Interested participants for the above programmes may contact Mr. Sujit Kr Roy, GTT (F/A), Department of Art & Culture, at 9933241678 for registration and further details.’
