The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation successfully conducted the third phase of ‘Project Amrit’ under the theme ‘Swachh Jal, Swachh Mann’ across 1,600 locations in 900 cities spanning 27 states and union territories in India. The initiative, launched in 2023 in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, aims to promote water conservation and cleanliness through large-scale volunteer-driven efforts.

In South Andaman, the local branch of the Sant Nirankari Mission organized a significant cleanliness drive at Beodnabad seashore, where around 200 volunteers from all three branches of the mission, including members of the Sewadal, actively participated. The drive focused on clearing non-biodegradable waste, including empty bottles and other debris, from the coastal area to designated disposal sites.

Mr. R. Paramasivam, Pradhan of Beodnabad Gram Panchayat, attended the event and lauded the Sant Nirankari Mission for selecting his Gram Panchayat for this environmental initiative for the second consecutive year. The Andaman Islands, known for their scenic beauty and fragile ecosystem, face persistent challenges in maintaining coastal cleanliness, making such initiatives vital for environmental conservation.

Rev. Satya Narayan Ji, Sector In-charge of Sector No. 13, Zone 45, Sant Nirankari Mandal, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, expressed gratitude to the volunteers and local residents for their dedicated participation. He emphasized that Project Amrit serves as a beacon of hope, inspiring communities toward sustainable environmental practices and reinforcing the mission’s commitment to selfless service.

With the successful completion of its third phase, Project Amrit continues to strengthen awareness about cleanliness and water conservation, contributing to a healthier and more sustainable future for society.
